Tuesday
Mastering Scene Study
Two waves — students must be flexible.
Instructor: Deb Podowski
For late-teens to adults — intermediate and advanced actors. Mastering Scene Study will change you as an actor no matter the level you are. Based on character development, intent, engaging your scene partners, taking ‘risks’ and substantiating everything in the text.
Students are challenged and must train hard. Off book by week two. Based on Uta Hagen’s techniques.
Wednesday
Mastering Scene Study
Two waves — students must be flexible.
Instructor: Deb Podowski
For advanced actors — generally series leads or actors who regularly book guest-star and recurring roles. The curriculum is quite challenging and students should be off book for week 1.
Focused on character development, intent, engaging scene partners, taking ‘risks’ and always being active in the text. Based on Uta Hagen’s techniques.

Breaking Down the Audition On-Camera Class
Instructor: Sachin Sahel
- Filming your audition pieces with playback and critiques
- Audition-style prepared reads for TV and film
- Cold reads using history and intent
- Affecting through the camera lens, not at it
- Small class size — lots of personal attention
- All sides pulled from major network and film projects currently casting

Advancing the Audition On-Camera Class

- Surprise cold reads throughout the month
- Affecting through the camera lens, not at it
- Scene study using: history, circumstances and intent
- All sides pulled from major network and film projects currently casting
Sunday
Acting for Film and Television
Instructor: Kaaren de Zilva
Builds and strengthens the foundation of acting through technique and creativity. Kaaren’s approach is nurturing and empowering — expecting discipline, focus, commitment and integrity. “Let’s create together.”
- Week 1 — Cold reading and script analysis
- Week 2 — Run scene and determine actions
- Week 3 — Run scene with adjustments
- Week 4 — Final performance of the scene
