Sachin Sahel

A professional actor for over 15 years and a Deb Podowski Acting Studio original, Sachin Sahel has a prolific resume that includes every genre of film and television. Sachin has worked on a wide range of high profile shows, most notably working on the popular Netflix/CW television show “The 100” for the entirety of its seven year run. Alongside that, he has worked on the likes of Maid, My Life With the Walter Boys, So Help Me Todd, The-X-files, Supernatural, Smallville, Supergirl, The Magicians, and many more.

Sachin initially trained at the University of Alberta and upon graduating moved to Vancouver to start his career in 2008, when he found Deb Podowski. Back when The Deb Podowski Acting Studio was in its beginning stages to where it has grown today, Sachin has learned and grown from Deb, and this is the place he attributes his success and his exponential growth as an actor. It was only natural for Sachin to begin teaching at DPAS with all the tools he acquired here.

With his wealth of on-set experience and knowledge, along with years of assisting Deb, Sachin’s main focus at DPAS is to see tangible improvements with his students; to help the new generation of actors understand the process of growing everyday, while turning them into the actors they always wanted to be. He believes everyone can become a prolific, bookable actor, and it is about tapping into what is naturally you – which is a staple of Deb Podowski Acting Studio. Sachin loves to share his wisdom and his joy for acting, so all levels of  actors can become the best versions of themselves.

Sachin loves to play basketball, is part of a monthly live theatre wrestling show and he enjoys cooking and script writing.
